Our History
The Seaford Swimming Pool Association opened its gates for the first season back in 1956. The association had been formed as a private corporation with each of the 150 original families investing money for the construction of the pool.
From the beginning, the association was a cooperative group project, except for the heavy construction, almost all of the work - painting, making tables, seeding, plumbing, wiring, and raking - was done by the members.
The participation by the members over the years has allowed the association to remain financially solvent, well-maintained, and stably-managed. Continued stability and participation of membership, board and staff will further insure that future.
501C3 Status
SSA is now a recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation! This means:
● SSA can accept monetary donations
● With any monetary donations, SSA will issue a tax-deductible form to submit with your taxes.

Labor Day Picnic
Join us at 1:00 pm on Labor Day for a picnic. We will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, lemonade, and tea. Bring a covered dish/dessert to share.
The pool closes at 4 pm.
